1. What does Superbrands do?
Superbrands is the leading by-invitation only brand promotion platform.
It is established in over 80 countries around the world. Brands that
join the Superbrands programme can leverage their presence using the
Superbrands logo and Seal, books, event, website, media & PR
environment for their overall marketing programme.
2. What do you mean ‘by invitation only’? Who do you invite & how do you select the brands to participate the programme?
In 2011, Superbrands Australia introduced a consumer research survey
conducted by The Nielsen Company, as the key benchmark in inviting the
brands to join the programme. The survey is transparent and independent.
The results of the survey voice the local consumers’ perception about
the brands.
Based on this consumer survey, Superbrands invites the brands that
appear in this survey to join the Superbrands programme. For the brands
that are not in the survey, brands can appeal to the Superbrands Council
for evaluation.

provide us with insight as to your brand’s status in the markets you
wish to be considered.
4. How many people know about Superbrands?
In a separate survey about Superbrands, conducted by The Nielsen
Company, Superbrands awareness is as high as 70% in most Asian markets.
5. How many years has Superbrands been in Australia?
Superbrands started the Australian programme in 1997. In 2012, this will be the 6th Superbrands programme in Australia.
6. What do I get if I become a Superbrand?
The Superbrands programme provides an integrated, multi-tiered marketing platform for your brand(s).
a. Superbrands logo – can be used across brands’ marketing platforms,
traditional & digital media.
b. Superbrands reference books – this
prestigious reference book is the ultimate testimony for the brand, and
can be shared among your key investors, board members, stakeholders.

7. How will it help my brand?
The more you leverage the programme entitlement listed above, the more
benefits you gain out of the programme. The Superbrands programme puts
your brand with others in the same league and is the only programme that
provides the ultimate brand association.
8. Do I need to pay to join Superbrands programme? How much will it be?
Like any other marketing programme, there is a small participation fee
to join the programme. This fee ranges from $18,000 (incl GST) subject
to the package the brands wish to take on.
9. Can any brand pay to become a Superbrand?
No, the brands we invite need to appear in the survey in order for us to
invite them on board. If brands are not listed in the survey, the brand
information will be sent to the Superbrands Council for evaluation.
