The Superbrands Awards are the only truly independent branding awards in the industry, being an important component of the programmes developed by the Superbrands Organization in more than 80 countries where it operates all over the world. Usually, the Superbrands Trophy Awards are organized within grand Tribute Events that pay tribute to those exceptional brands validated as Superbrands by the independent councils on specific markets, which accepted the invitation to join the programme and support the production of the book. The event is held annually and is attended by senior brand guardians (chairmen, managing directors, marketing directors, brand managers) and other important industry figures.

The 2007 Business Superbrands Tribute Event was organized by Superbrands Romania on December 5th , 2007 at the luxurious Crowne Plaza Ballroom. This action-packed evening acknowledged and rewarded the highest standards and excellence in branding within Romania as voted for by the experts of the first Business Superbrands Romania Council.  At the same time, the Tribute Event created the appropriate environment for the launch of the Volume One of Business Superbrands Romania Book. The Trophy Award Ceremony culminated with a very special Honorary Recognition moment, where three exceptional personalities received the Superbrands trophy for their achievements: Mr. Bogdan Baltazar, Mr. Ion Caramitru and Dr. Raed Arafat.  The Gala was honored by the presence of other Guests of Honor invited by Superbrands Romania on this special occasion such as, Mr. Eamonn Ronald Sadler (Global CEO Superbrands), Mr. Rhett Lego (Director of Operations for European area Superbrands) and Mr. David Muir (CEO, The Channel).

Attended by Marketing Directors and CEOs of important brands in Romania and key representatives of the press, this was a fantastic evening! Over three hundred people enjoyed this exclusive event, whilst taking advantage of the unrivalled opportunity to network with peers, meet potential clients and align themselves with Superbrand status achievers of 2007.

The guests were entertained by appreciated Romanian artists, such as the talented jazz musicians - Mr. Vlaicu Golcea and Marta Hristea, the impressive performer of contemporary dance - Mr. Razvan Mazilu, and the creator of the visual effects for the Superbrands Tribute Events in Romania - Mr. Daniel Gontz.
